Wednesday, May 06, 2020

Hallo, bookaholics! So I dicided to have some bookish fun with this new game I called Bookaterpillar (books caterpillar) and today is my first Bookaterpillar ever. So the rules are simple where you have to first; pick three books that you have just discovered and really wanted to have them on your to be read list, second; combine all the three titles of the books to form one complete sentence. You may add any other words to make sure that your sentence is making sense and at the same time make sure you don't left any words out from the three titles that you have picked; and third you can write anything about the books for example where did you heard about it? who suggested it to you? have you bought them already? etc.So here's my Bookaterpillar for this week!

"Dear Edward, the Family Tree is in Saint X."

Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano
I discovered this book on Goodread's January 2020 most popular books as it is ranked No. 2 on the list behind American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins. I read the synopsis and I knew it right away that I have get this book. The story is about a boy, who is a sole survivor of a plane crash. Goodreads users are giving this book good reviews with average ratings of 4 stars. So, I checked out our local bookstore whether they have this book and luckily MPHOline do have it in store. So, I bought it online and can't wait to get my hands on it soon.

The Family Tree by Sairish Hussain
The Family Tree is Sairish Husaain's debut novel and I stumbled upon it when I was browsing one of our local bookstore, Bookalicious's website. This book have a good feedback from the Goodreads community and there are readers who gave it 5 stars rating. It is the moving story of a British Muslim family full of love, laughter and resilience as well as all the faults and mistakes which make us human. Bought this one together with Dear Edward and I am excitedly waiting for it.

Saint X by Alexis Schaitkin
Another debut novel and it is a murder case mystery book which and I am a fan of this genre. This book sounds so refreshing and since I am on mystery/thriller reading hiatus for quite a long time already, this kind of new voice murder mystery might evoke my inner passion towards mystery books again. Need to check out on our local stores if it is available and I am going to purchase it maybe next month? We'll see.
